The form that wouldn’t submit.
Before buying more traffic, we tested every way a customer could get in touch. The main one was broken.
Why we didn’t start with ads
The owner wanted more advertising. The site looked good and every review was five stars, so the assumption was simple: more people need to see it. Before spending anything on that, we followed the path a customer would take, one click at a time.

What the diagnosis found
- Reached
The form rejected its own format
The phone field asked for a format, then refused it. Visitors could fill in the form and never send it.
- Reached
Zero calls in six months
The Google Business Profile recorded no calls from March to September. Taps on the phone number weren’t counted anywhere.
- Reached
Numbers nobody could trust
Analytics wasn’t in the owner’s name and counted every visit twice. About half the traffic was bots.
- Found
Seen, but not clicked
In September: 1,618 impressions on non-brand searches and 3 clicks. 66 of 267 search terms sat on page two.
- Found
Articles with no way in
The blog list was written by hand and showed 14 posts. 16 published articles had no link to them, including the one with the most traffic.
- Trusted
Good reviews, too few
18 reviews, all five stars. Local competitors averaged 48.8.
What changed, in order
New site live: 15 new pages, old addresses redirected.
Form fixed. Analytics rebuilt in the owner’s name. Calls tracked for the first time.
First real inquiry through the new site.
Blog list rebuilt: all 30 articles reachable.
First build-and-manage project page published.
The first inquiry, click by click
- Heard about the company from a neighbour
- Searched the company name on Google
- Home page
- Services page
- Project page
- Sent the form, 4 minutes later
Word of mouth still checks you online. The site decided this one.
What comes next
October is the first full month with working forms and call tracking. We publish the numbers here when they are in, in early November.
